CHAPTER 472.

CHAP. 473.

An act to authorise and empower George W. Walms-
by to erect a wharf, on the Sassafras river, at Fred-
ericktown, in Cecil County.

Passed Mar. 9,
1850.

WHEREAS, it has been represented to this General
Assembly, by the petition of George W. Walmsby, and
others, of Cecil county, that the public convenience and
interest would be subserved by the erection of a commo-
dious wharf upon his shore, on the Sassafras river, at
Fredericktown, in said county — Therefore,

Preamble.

Be it unacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said George W. Walmsby, of Cecil county,
be and he is hereby authorised and empowered to erect
or build upon his shore, on the Sassafras river, at the
said village of Fredericktown, in said county, a commo-
dious wharf, not to exceed one hundred and thirty feet
in length, by one hundred feet upon the land, and fifty
feet in breadth on the outer end, and when completed
to demand and collect the usual wharfage fees upon all

vessels lying at the same; provided, that in the erection
thereof, no impediment or obstruction is made to the
navigation by vessels of the Sassafras river.


CHAPTER 473.

Proviso.

An act to authorise the Record of the Book of Surveys

of John Needles , Surveyor, among the Land Record
Rooks, of Talbot County.

1850.

WHEREAS, by an act of Assembly, seventeen hundred
and eighty-five, chapter thirty-two, a commission was
constituted for the purpose of laying out the town of
Talbot, afterwards called the town of Easton, in Talbot
county; and whereas, under said commission, a certain
John Needles, was appointed surveyor, as directed by
the aforesaid act of Assembly, and proceeded to lay out
and survey said town and kept a record of the several
surveys then made — Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the clerk of Talbot. County, be and

he is hereby authorised and required to transcribe in a
suitable book, procured for that purpose, at the expense
