CHAPTER 462.

A supplement to an act entitled, an additional supple-
ment to an ad passed at December Session, eighteen
hundred and thirty-three, chapter two hundred and
forty-nine.
|

|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it appears that the congregations named
in said supplement are only entitled to elect four el-
ders, and said congregations are desirous to increase
the number of elders to eight.
|
|
|
Number of
elders may be
increased.
|
SECTION 1. Therefore, be it enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland, That on and alter Good Friday,
eighteen hundred and fifty, the said congregations are
hereby authorised to increase the number of elders to
eight, to be elected agreeably to the rules of the con-
gregations, in the same manner that they were former-
ly elected, and according to the provisions of the acts
to which this is a supplement, and that said elders,
when elected, shall nave all the rights, property,
powers and privileges mentioned in the acts to which
this is a supplement, and that this law shall take effect
from and after its passage.

Inconsistent
acts repealed.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts, or parts of
acts, inconsistent with this act, are hereby repealed.

An act entitled, an act to change the place of holding
Elections in district number three.
|
|
|
The place of
voting fixed.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and alter the passage of this act, the polls
of election shall be removed from the Little Crossings,
the place of now holding them, and held at the
School House, in the town of Grantsville, in Allegany
county, in district number three.
