hundred and forty-nine, six hundred and fifty, and
six hundred and fifty-one, one of the land records of
Frederick county, be and the same is hereby declared
to be good and valid, and as binding and effectual on
all the parlies to the same, for the ends and purposes
for which said deed was made and accepted as afore-
said, as if the said deed had been executed, and all
the covenants and stipulations therein contained and
set forth after the passage of this act of Assembly.

CHAP. 461.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act of Assem-
bly shall go into operation, and be of full force and
effect immediately after its passage.


CHAPTER 461.

In force.

A further supplement to the act entitled, an act to pre-
vent frauds upon the Revenue, in the case herein-
after mentioned, and to punish the perpetrators
thereof.

1850.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That any negro or colored person doing
any of the matters and things prohibited by the act
to which this is a supplement, shall, upon indictment
for and conviction thereof, the first time, be punished
as is prescribed by the supplement to the said act,
passed at December session, in the year of our Lord
eighteen hundred and forty-seven, and upon indict-
ment and conviction for a second offence, shall, at the
discretion of the court, be sentenced to hard labor in
the Penitentiary, for the space of three years, or sold
out of the State.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the com-
missioners of lotteries, with the approbation of the
Governor, may, out of the monies to he received for
stamps or licenses, pay such sums of money as they
may deem necessary for the detention and punish-
ment of frauds upon, or violation of the Lottery
Laws.
