An act to make valid a certain Deed therein men-
tioned.
|

WHEREAS, on the thirteenth day of July, in the year
of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty-seven, a deed
was executed by James Humphreys, and Mary Hum-
phreys his wife, to William G. Spicknall, of Calvert coun-
ty, for two lots of land, lying in the town of Lower
Marlboro', in Calvert county, and was acknowledged on
the date thereof, before Henry L. Harrison and James
Hungerford, two justices of the peace of the State, for
the said county; and whereas, the said William G.
Spicknall omitted to have the said deed recorded, and it
is insufficient to pass the legal title to the land therein
mentioned, by reason of the omission to have recorded,
as required by the existing laws of this State — Therefore,

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said deed may be now filed with the clerk of
Calvert county court, and the said clerk is hereby au-
thorised and required to record the same among the
land records of said county, and the said deed when so
recorded shall be of the same force, validity and effect,
for all purposes whatsoever, as if the same had been
recorded according to the existing laws of this State;

Made valid.

provided, that this act shall not affect the right of any
bona fide purchaser, or judgment creditor, who has or
may become so before the said deed shall be recorded
as herein directed.

Proviso.
|

|
An act to divorce Eliza Conner, of Baltimore City,
from her husband, Joseph Conner.
|

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Man/land,
That Eliza Conner, of Baltimore city, be and she is
hereby divorced a vinculo matrimonii, from her hus-
band, Joseph Conner.
