SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this corporation
shall not be permitted to issue any note, token, de-
vice or scrip, or other evidence of debt, to be used as
currency.

CHAP. 423.

Banking forbid.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this corporation
shall have power to make bye-laws for their govern-

ment, and to alter and amend the same at pleasure;
provided, they do not conflict with the laws of the
State of Maryland, of the United States, or the laws
of the Grand Lodge of Maryland.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act of in-

corporation shall enure for thirty years from its pas-
sage, and that the Legislature reserves to itself the
right to alter and amend this act of incorporation at
pleasure.

CHAPTER 423.

In force, &c.

An act for the relief of John W. Wilburn, Collector
of the County and State Tax, for Calvert County.

Passed Mar, 7,
1850.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John W. Wilburn, collector of the
State and county tax for Calvert county, be and he is
hereby authorised to proceed to collect all taxes that
may be due him for the years, one thousand eight hun-
dred and forty-two, and forty six, any law to the contrary
notwithstanding.

May collect.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said John W.
Wilburn, before he proceeds to collect the aforesaid
taxes, in virtue of this act, shall deliver, or cause to be
delivered to such person of persons, from whom such
taxes are due, a notice, which notice shall be given at
least thirty days before he proceeds to act.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall con-

tinue in force one year from and after its passage.
