CHAP. 405.

of the poor of said county, and shall take care of
the poor of said county, and shall perform all the
duties which may be required of him in relation to
the poof of said county, and the property appropria-
ted to their use.

To give bond.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the overseer of the
poor, to be appointed in virtue of this act, before he
acts as such, shall give bond to the State of Mary-
land, in the penalty of two thousand dollars, with
security to be approved by the said commissioners,
and with condition that the person so appointed shall
well and faithfully perform the duties of overseer of
the poor, of Harford county, and shall well and faith-
fully account for all properly, money, goods and
chattels, which may come to his hands or possession
as overseer as aforesaid.

Former trustees
to deliver over
property.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the trustees of the
poor, of Harford county, shall deliver over to the
commissioners of Harford county, all the property,
books, papers and effects of the said trustees.

Overseer to
account.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the overseer of
the poor, of Harford county, shall account semi-an-
nually with the said commissioners, or oftener if re-
quired, and shall in such accounts state under oath
all the sales and purchases made by such overseer,
and such other matters relating to the poor, the Alms-
house, or his duties as overseer as aforesaid, as the
commissioners may from time to time require.

Requirements
of the commis-
sioners.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
of Harford county, shall not be required to meet at
the Alms-house, but any one or more of said com-
missioners may, and some of them are hereby required,
to inspect the farm and Alms-house, and report their
condition, and the manner of conducting the same, to
the said commissioners.

Inconsistent
acts repealed.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That all acts and parts
of acts, inconsistent with this act, be and they are
hereby repealed, and this act shall take effect imme-
diately from and after its passage.
