CHAP. 402.

duty it shall be to record the same among the land
records of the county.

Boundaries to
be published.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of said commissioners to publish in such newspapers
of the county as they may select, the metes and
bounds of any district or ward that may be established
under this act. immediately after said district or ward
shall have been established.

Inconsistent
acts repealed.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That all laws inconsis-
tent with this act, are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 402.

Passed Mar. 7,
1850.

An act to authorise the Levy Court of Caroline Coun-
ty, to appoint the Trustees of the Poor for said
County.

poor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the levy court of Caroline county,
be and they are hereby authorised to appoint the
trustees of the poor for the said county, and that the
number of said trustees shall be five, and their term
of service seven years from the time of their appoint-
ment.

First appoint-
ment — when to
be made.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the levy court
of Caroline county, shall make their first appoint-
ment of trustees of the poor under this act, between
the first day of April, and the last day of June next,
and that every seven years thereafter they shall make
a further appointment, and that the trustees so ap-
pointed shall annually, in the month of July, appoint
an overseer of the the poor.

Vacancies-
how supplied

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That vacancies oc-
curing in the board of trustees, shall be supplied by
the levy court, if in session, but during the recess of
the said court, the said trustees shall fill such vacan-
cies till the meeting of said levy court.

Inconsistent

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all acts incon-
sistent with this act, shall be and they are hereby
repealed.
