CHAP. 58.

Not exempted
from taxation.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act contained, shall be construed to exempt the lands
and other property of said company from taxation.

Limit.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this act of incor-
poration shall remain in force until the year one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty, and until the end of

Proviso.

the next General Assembly thereafter; provided, that
nothing in this act shall be so construed as to deprive
any future Legislature of the right to alter, amend,
or repeal said act.

CHAPTER 57.

Passed Feb.
2, 1850.

An act for further extending the time for completing
the Turnpike Road from Boonsboro', in Washing-
ington county, to Swearingen's Ferry, on the Poto-
mac River.

Time extended.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the time for completing the turn-
pike road from Boonsboro' to Swearingen's Perry, on
the Potomac river, in Washington county, be and the
same is hereby extended to the year eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-one, and to the end of the next ses-
sion of the Legislature thereafter.

To receive toll.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the president, di-
rectors and company of the said road, be and they are
hereby authorised to receive toll upon the whole of
the said road, which is now completed and in public
use, at a rate not higher than is authorised by the
original act of incorporation; provided, that the said
road is kept, by the said company, in good condition
and repair, according to the requirements of the charter
incorporating the said company.

CHAPTER 58.

Passed Feb. 2,
1850.

An act entitled, an act for the relief of Charles Bunt-
ing and others, of Montgomery county.
