ent with this act, be and the same are hereby re-

Inconsistent
acts repealed.

An act to allow Christian Sheppard, agent or dep-
uty collector of Michael L. Ross, deceased, late
Collector of State Taxes, of Washington County,
further time to complete his collections.

Passed
March 6, 1850.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Christian Sheppard, agent or deputy collector for
Michael L. Ross, deceased, late collector of the State
taxes for Washington county, for the year eighteen hun-
dred and forty-four, be and he is hereby empowered to
collect all Or any State taxes that may be due and owing
to him, the said Michael L. Ross, late collector, at the
time of his decease, and which are now in the hands of
the said Christian Sheppard, for collection, in the same
manner, and with the same powers, with which the
said Michael L. Ross, was authorised to do whilst he
was in office, and any sale or sales of real or personal
property, that may be made by the said Christian Shep-
pard, agent and deputy collector as aforesaid , in the col-
lection of such taxes due and owing to the said Michael
L. Ross, shall be as valid as if made by the said Michael
L. Ross, himself, in the time required of him by law to

than the first day of April, eighteen hundred and fifty-
