CHAP. 336.
Funds — how
invested.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That whenever any of
the aforesaid school fund shall have been collected as
provided for by the first section of this act, the county
commissioners aforesaid shall cause the same to be in-
vested in the stock of the State of Maryland, or some
other well secured stock, for the use of the school
commissioners of the county aforesaid, and the presi-
dent of the school fund of said county, shall, in the
animal report required to be made by the act of De-
cember session, eighteen hundred and forty-one, chap-
ter one hundred and thirty-eight, report also the
amount of capital fund upon which the interest may
be due and in arrears.

An act to authorise Decatur H. Miller, of the city of
Baltimore, to bring into this State a certain Negro
Slave therein mentioned.

Authority to
bring slave into
this State.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, it shall
and may be lawful for Decatur H. Miller, of Baltimore
city, to bring into this State, from the State of Vir-
ginia, a negro man named Hamlin, a slave for life;

Proviso.
|
provided, the said Decatur H. Miller comply with the
provisions of the act passed December session, eigh-
teen hundred and thirty-five, chapter sixty-one.

to cause a County Wharf to be built at Turners
Creek.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the levy court of Kent county, be
and they are hereby authorised to levy upon the taxable
property of said county, a sum of money sufficient to
pay the expense of building a county wharf at Turner's
