CHAP. 262.

CHAPTER 281.

Feb. 27, 1850.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act to incorporate
the Cumberland Water Company, passed December
Session, eighteen hundred and forty-five, chapter
two hundred and eighty.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
That the commissioners appointed in said act having
failed to open books for receiving subscriptions on the
day therein required, and doubts being entertained
whether said act has not thereby been forfeited—
Therefore,

Revived.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the said act of incorporation be
and the same is hereby revived and continued in full
force, and that books for receiving subscriptions of
stock, on the terms and in the manner therein pre-
scribed, may at any time hereafter be opened under
the following commissioners, appointed in place of
those named in said act, namely: Thomas J. McKaig,
Joseph Shriver, F. B. Fawer, Alpheus Beall, and John
G. Hoffman.

May increase
capital.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said company is
hereby authorised to increase the capital stock, by
subscriptions in the manner prescribed in said act, to
any amount not exceeding sixty thousand dollars.


CHAPTER 282.

1850.

An act to alter and change the lines of Flintstone Elec-
tion District, in Allegany county.

Boundaries
prescribed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the south-east and western line of
the Flintstone Election District, being number eight,
in Allegany county, shall hereafter be bounded as fol-
lows: commencing on the top of Nicholson's Moun-
tain, at the western end of the line that separates the
eighth and ninth districts in said county, and running
thence in a north-western direction to the Baltimore
and Cumberland turnpike road, where the Murley's
Branch road intersects said pike, thence down said
pike to a lane known as Smith Lane, thence up Plea-
