CHAP. 216.

passage, unless the General Assembly should alter and
amend, or annul it, which right the Legislature reserves
to itself to exercise at pleasure.


CHAPTER 215.

1850.

An act to make valid a deed from Benjamin Watkins,
of Benjamin, an Insolvent Debtor, to John W. Da-
vis, his trustee, and to authorise the Judges of Anne
Arundel county court, to grant a final discharge to
said Insolvent.

Deed made
valid.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the certificate of acknowledgment of
a deed of trust from Benjamin Watkins of Benjamin,
of Anne Arundel county, to John H. Davis, bearing
date the thirteenth day of January, eighteen hundred and
forty-nine, and recorded in Liber J H N, number three,
folio six hundred and nine, and so forth, one of the land
record books of said county, be and the same is hereby
ratified, confirmed and made valid, as though said ac-
knowledgment hud been made and certified in every
particular, in conformity with the provisions of the laws
of this State, relating to acknowledgments of deeds.

May have ben-
efit.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the judges of Anne
Arundel county court, be authorised to grant unto said
insolvent a final discharge, in the same manner as he
would have been entitled to the same, had said deed and
acknowledgment been in no-wise defective.

CHAPTER 216.

March 1, 1850.

An act entitled, an act to make valid a deed from
Catharine Townshend to John Fike and James
Robinson.

Made valid.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a deed of bargain and sale, executed on the twen-
ty-seventh day of June, in the year eighteen hundred
and forty-six, between Catharine Townshend, of Alle-
gany county, in the State of Maryland, of the one part,
and John Fike and James Robinson, of the county and
