CHAPTER 200.

CHAP. 207.

An act entitled, an act to divorce Margaret A. Stevens,
from her husband, Clemson Stevens.

Feb. 28, 1850.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Margaret A. Stevens, of Carroll
county, be and she is hereby divorced from her hus-
band, Clemson Stevens, a vinculo matrimonii.

Divorced.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Margaret
A. Stevens be and she is hereby authorised to assume
her maiden name, as fully and entirely as if the said
Margaret A. Stevens had never been married.

CHAPTER 207.

To assume her
maiden name.

An act to authorise the Commissioners of Allegany
County to revise the assessment of certain Tract of
Land therein mentioned, and for other purposes.

Feb. 23, 1850.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Commissioners of Allegany
county, be and the same are hereby authorised and di-
rected to examine into the value of a certain tract of
land, called Savage Ridge, owned by Nathaniel F.
Scrogin, and if in their judgment it shall appear that the
assessment of the said properly is too high, to fix the true
value of the said tract, and to make a proper assessment
of the same at the April session of the said commis-
sioners.

Re assessment

authorised.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That if in the opinion
of the said commissioners, the assessment has been here-
tofore fixed at two high a rate, it shall be lawful for
them, and they are hereby authorised to levy an amount
equal to what they shall deem the over taxation paid by
said Nathaniel F. Scrogin, to be refunded to him, which
said levy shall be made at the regular levy court of the
said commissioners.
