C H A P. 25.

CHAPTER 24.

Passed Jan.
28, 1850.

An additional supplement to an act entitled, an act to
provide for the relief of the poor and indigent per-
sons of Somerset county, passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and forty-five, chapter forty

two.

Time extended.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the time limited by the act to
which this is a supplement, and the several supple-
ments thereto, within which the commissioners therein
provided for shall accomplish their duties, be and the
same is hereby extended for two years from the pas-
sage of this act.

Seventh sec-
tion suspended.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That from and after the
passage of this act, the seventh section of the original
act, to which this is a supplement, be and the same is
hereby suspended, until a farm shall have been pur-
chased and prepared for the accommodation of the poor
of the said county, and all the laws repealed by the
said seventh section, shall be deemed and considered
in full force until the period aforesaid, and no longer.

CHAPTER 35.

Passed Jan.
28, 1850.

An act for the better defining the legal duties and
powers of the Overseers of Roads and Bridges in
Dorchester county.

Authority
given.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That after the passage of this act, it
shall be the duty of the commissioners of Dorchester
county, to collate or cause to be collated, a synopsis
of the laws in reference to the duties and powers of
overseers of roads and bridges in the county aforesaid,
and have the same printed in pamphlet form, at the
cost of said county.

Duty of clerk.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the clerk of the commissioners of the county afore-
said, to issue with each warrant of commission to
overseers of roads and bridges, one of the said pamph-
lets before named, for the better information of the
said overseers of roads and bridges in Dorchester
county.
