sion, eighteen hundred and thirty-six, chapter three
hundred and nine, is hereby repealed, and that the
said repeal shall take place on the first day of July
next, and that the present officers be and they are
hereby authorised and empowered to act in their re-
spective capacities, until the aforesaid date, and that
they are invested with full power and authority to
collect all money or debts due the said corporation,
and if there shall be any money remaining in the
treasury at the date aforesaid, after first liquidating
the debts thereof, the same shall be apportioned to the
benefit of the citizens of said town, as may be di-
rected by the burgess and commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws, or parts
of laws, inconsistent with the provisions of this act,
be and the same are hereby repealed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of insolvent debtors, for the
city and county of Baltimore, be and they are hereby
authorised and directed to hear, consider and deter-
mine, the application of Joseph W. Hopkins, of Bal-
timore city, for the benefit of the insolvent laws of
Maryland, in the same manner as if he had not ap-
plied for the benefit of said laws within the last two
years.
