LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 110.

provide for the instruction of indigent blind persons,
inhabitants of this State, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-seven, chapter one hun-
dred and seventy-three, he and the same are hereby ex-
tended to Margaret C. Basford,an indigent blind person,
and at present a pupil in the institution for the blind,
until the said Margaret C. Basford, shall have arrived
at the age of sixteen years.

Additional ap-
propriation.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That if the amount ap-
propriated for the instruction of the indigent blind, by
the act to which this is a supplement, be already appro-
priated and insufficient to carry out the intention of this
act, the Treasurer of the State, be and he is hereby au-
thorised and required to pay upon order of the Gover-
nor, out of any unappropriated money in the treasury,
such additional sum as may be necessary to defray the
expense of educating the said Margaret C. Basford, un-
til she arrives at the age aforesaid.

CHAPTER 109.

Feb. 22, 1850.

An act entitled, an act for the relief of Meshek Brown-
ing.

Taxes to be re-
funded.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Allegany county, be and
they are hereby authorised and required to refund to
Meshek Browning, all taxes he may wrongfully have
paid to the collector of Allegany county, since eighteen

hundred and forty-one; provided, said Browning shall
satisfy said commissioners that he has been paying tax-
es for property he did not own.

CHAPTER 110.

Passed
Feb. 21, 1850.

An act entitled, an act to repeal an act passed at Decem-
ber Session, eighteen hundred and thirty-six, chapter
three hundred and nine, entitled, an act to incorpo-
rate the citizens of Taneytown, Carroll county.

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
