said supplement; and whereas, it is right and proper
that said defect should be cured by an act of the Gene-
ral Assembly of Maryland — Therefore,

CHAP. 108.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said deed of mortgage, be and the same is
hereby declared to be as good, valid and effectual to all
intents and purposes, as though the parties of the sec-
ond part thereto, had made and taken the affidavit re-
quired by the said acts of December session, eighteen
hundred and forty-six, chapter two hundred and seven-
ty-one, before the person or persons designated and
prescribed by the said act and the said supplement
thereto, passed at December session, eighteen hundred
And forty -seven, chapter three hundred and five.

An act giving further time to Absalom Tennison, late
Collector of Charles County, to complete his Collec-
tions.
|

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Absalom Tennison , former collector of taxes
in Charles county, have further time to complete his
collections for the years eighteen hundred and forty-five,
eighteen hundred and forty-six, and eighteen hundred
and forty-seven, until the first day of June, eighteen
|
May collect.

hundred and fifty one; provided, that the said Absalom
Tennison shall make affidavit, before some justice of the
peace of Charles county, that any claim attempted to
be collected by him under the provisions of this act, is
to the best, of his knowledge, just and true, and that the
same, nor hath any part thereof been paid.
