CHAP. 15.

CHAPTER 14.

An act to regulate the terms and times of meeting of
the Orphans Court of Harford county.

Terms speci-
fied.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the justices of the Orphans court
of Hartford county shall meet at the six terms herein-
after mentioned, and at no other times, that at each
term the said justices may adjourn from day to day,
if the public business requires it, for a period not ex-
ceeding four days at any one term.

Days of meet-
ing.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said six terms
shall begin and be held on the following days, namely:
the first Monday in the months of February, April,
June, August, October, and December, respectively,
to which terms all process shall be made returnable.

Powers of
Register.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Register of
Wills of said county, during the recess of the Orphans
court, shall have full power and jurisdiction to do all
matters and things whatsoever, which the said Or-
phans court could do at its regular sessions, and that,
there shall be the same right of appeal from any
order, decision, or judgment of said Register, as may
now be had, by law, from the orders, decisions or
judgments of the said Orphans court.

Now in force.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this law shall take
effect immediately from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 15.

Passed Jan. 19,
1850.

An act to allow Henry Devries, late a collector of Car-
roll county, further time to complete his collections.

Time allowed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Henry Devries, late a collector of
State lax of Carroll county, be and he is hereby au-
thorised and empowered to collect any taxes or ba-
lances of taxes now remaining due to and uncollected
by him in the county aforesaid, in the same manner
and with the same power and privileges as are allow-
ed by the existing laws in such cases made and pro-
vided.
