CHAPTER 97.
An act entitled, an act to confirm an act entitled, an act
to authorise a lottery to raise a sum of money, to make
a turnpike road from the town of Westminster in Cur-
roll County, Maryland, through Taneytown in said
County, and through Emmittsburg in Frederick
County, to the nearest and most practicable route to
the Pennsylvania line.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the act entitled, an act to authorise a lottery to
raise a sum of money, to make a turnpike road from the
town of Westminster in Carroll county, Maryland,
through Taneytown in said county, and through Em-
mittsburg in Frederick county, to the nearest and most
practicable route to the Pennsylvania line, passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and forty-six,
chapter two hundred and forty-two; be and the same is
hereby confirmed.

An act to make valid and good in law certain proceedings
had and done by Upton Dorsey, Thomas H. O'Neal,
and Zachariah T. Windsor, in the partitioning and
laying off of a certain tract or parcel of the real estate
of Nicholas Worthington, of John, deceased.

of commission-
ers ratified and
confirmed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the appointment by Charles W. Dorsey,
executor of Nicholas Worthington, of John,deceased,
of Upton Dorsey a commissioner at the recommenda-
tion of William Clark, and of Thomas H. O'Neal a
commissioner at the recommendation of John H.
Worthington, in pursuance of the third clause of the
last will and testament of the said deceased, and also the
appointment by the said Upton Dorsey and Thomas
H. O'Neal, of Zachariah T. Windsor a third commis-
sioner, to lay off and divide four hundred acres of land,
lying and being in Frederick county, devised unto the
said John H. Worthington by said testator, be and
the same are hereby fully ratified and confirmed, and
made valid in law, and the said appointment of the
said Upton Dorsey is hereby declared to be, and is made
