CHAPTER 91.

An act to make valid a deed therein mentioned.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, the ac-
knowledgment of a deed of conveyance from William
Timanus and wife, of Crawford county, Jeremiah Nace
and wife, of Montgomery county, and Jesse Timanus
and wile, of Hamilton county, in the State of Ohio, and
Rebecca Timanus and Dorothy Mackinson, of Balti-
more city, in Maryland, to Charles Timanus, of Balti-
more county, Maryland, in trust, and which appears to
have been acknowledged before the respective judges
of the aforesaid counties in Ohio, and two justices of
the peace in the city of Baltimore, be and the same
is hereby ratified and made valid as fully as if said
acknowledgment had been made in conformity to the
laws regulating the acknowledgment of deeds made
out of the State of Maryland.

An act for the benefit of John Curtis, Sheriff and
Collector of Somerset County.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That John Curtis, sheriff of Somerset coun-
ty, by himself or any other person or persons by
him appointed for this purpose, is and are hereby
authorised and empowered to collect until the first day
of February eighteen hundred and fifty, the suras and
balances due him as sheriff of Somerset county, in the
same manner which the said John Curtis could or
might have done within the time limited by law, any-
thing to the contrary notwithstanding.

Passed
Feb. 18, 1848.

Empowered
to collect.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the time allowed
by law to John Curtis collector of Somerset county,
to make his collections, be and the same is extended
until the first day of February eighteen hundred and
fifty.
