CHAP. 90.

the inspection of the Treasurer of the Western Shore
of Maryland, or of such other officer or agent of the
State as may be selected for that purpose by either
branch of the legislature.

In force.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this act shall he
and continue in force for fifty years, and until the end
of the next session of the General Assembly that shall
happen thereafter, unless sooner repealed by the legis-
lature.

Reservation.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That the General As-
sembly expressly reserve the right to alter or repeal
this act at pleasure.

CHAPTER 89.

Feb. 18, 1848.

Extension of
time granted.

An act to allow Washington Finley, former Collector of
Taxes for Queen Anne's County, further time to com-
plete his collections.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland.
That the time allowed to Washington Finley, collector
of the State tax for eighteen hundred and forty-one,
and of the county tax for eighteen hundred and forty-
two, for Queen Anne's county, by an act passed at
December session eighteen hundred and forty-four,
chapter forty-eight, and by a second act passed at
December session eighteen hundred forty-six, be and
the same is hereby farther extended to the first day of
June eighteen hundred and forty-nine, and no longer;
and that the said Washington Finley be, and he is here-
by authorised and empowered, to collect any and all
taxes or balances of taxes that may be due him and
unpaid as collector as aforesaid, in the same manner
and with the same privileges and powers as provided
for by the aforesaid act of December session eighteen
hundred and forty-four, chapter forty-eight.

Divorced.

An act to divorce Jehu Brown from Elizabeth his wife.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Jehu Brown, be and he is hereby divorced, a
vinculo matrimonii, from his wife Elizabeth Brown.
