CHAPTER 81.

An act authorising the commissioners of tax for Carroll
county, to refund to the President and Directors of the
Bank of Westminster, certain county taxes errone-
ously paid.

CHAP. 83.

Feb. 12, 1846.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of tax for Carroll county, upon
a full hearing of the complaint of the president and
directors of the bank of Westminster, relative to certain
taxes for county purposes charged to have been errone-
ously paid by said president and directors, shall deter-
mine the same, and if in their judgment, upon the law
and the facts in the case, the amount of tax alledged to
have been paid erroneously, have been so paid, then and
in that case the .said commissioners of tax are fully
authorised and empowered to levy on the assessable pro-
perty of Carroll county, collect and pay over the full
amount of said tax, together with the interest thereon
from the date of payment of the same by said president
and directors of said bank.

CHAPTER 82.

Commission-
ers to hear, de-
termine, &c.

An act to allow William B. Willis, former sheriff of
Talbot county, further time to complete his collections.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That William B. Willis, former sheriff of Talbot coun-
ty, shall have further time to complete his collections,
until the first day of January, eighteen hundred and for-
ty-nine.

CHAPTER 83.

Time extend-
ed to collect.

An act to allow William A. Quynn, former collector of
Prince George's county, further time to complete his
collections.

Passed
Feb. 16, 1848.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That William A. Quynn, late collector of
Prince George's county, be and he is hereby authorised
