five cents, the fee for issuing said warrant to be paid by
the party making application for such warrant, and the
fee for taking the recognizance to be paid by the party
complained against.

CHAP. 78.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That the said register shall
be allowed the sum of two hundred dollars, to be paid
out of the fees collected and returned by the justices
by virtue of this act, as a compensation for the perform-
ance of the duties imposed upon him by the provisions
of this act, to be paid quarterly out of the fees and e-
moluments returned by the justices created under this
law, before any distribution of the same shall be made
among said justices under and by virtue of the provi-
sions of this act.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That the city register
shall give bond to the Mayor and City Council of Bal-
timore, in the penalty of ten thousand dollars, for the
faithful performance of the duties imposed upon him
by this act.
SEC. 14. And be it enacted, That this law shall take
effect immediately after its passage.

In force.

An act authorising the clerk of Prince George's county
court to repair or rebind, or cause to be repaired or re-
bound certain record books.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the clerk of Prince George's county, be and he is
hereby authorised and directed, to rebind or repair, or
cause the same to be done, such and so many of the land
record books of Prince George's county, as the judges of
the county court shall direct to be rebound or repaired,
and that the amount of money necessary to pay for the
same shall he levied upon the assessable property of the
county aforesaid, and collected and paid to the said clerk,
as other county charges are levied, collected and paid;

provided, that no such levy shall be made, unless the
judges of the county court aforesaid shall certify to the
correctness of the amount of expenses incurred for such
rebinding and repairing, and when done, to be examin-
ed and approved of by said judges.
