1847.

RESOLUTIONS.

are hereby authorised and required to receive from James
T. Blackistone, of said county, on account of his State
taxes, certain certificates or coupons, number three thou-
sand three hundred and seventy-six, and two thousand
eight hundred and ninety-four, and a certificate for nine
dollars and fifty cents, payable to the Farmers' Bank of
Maryland, per F. C. Cook, and amounting in all to six-
ty-eight dollars and six cents, and it shall be the duly of
the Commissioner of Loans to receive the same from
the said collector or collectors, and issue certificates
therefor in the same manner as if the said certificates
or coupons had been paid over to the said collector or
collectors and by them paid to the Commissioner of
Loans, prior to the first day of October last, and it
shall be the duty of the treasurer in like manner to re-
ceive said certificates, and credit said collection for the
same.

Resolution authorising certain repairs to the Chancery
Office.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Chancellor be and is hereby authorised to make such
repairs in the Chancellor's Office as he may deem ne-
cessary, and that the treasurer pay the cost of the same
out of any unappropriated money in the treasury; pro-
vided, the cost of the same does wot exceed the sum of
three hundred dollars.

Resolution to refund to Anna Maria Chamberlaine and
others, certain taxes.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the treasurer of the State be directed to refund to
Anna Maria Chamberlaine, Doctor John Barrett and
Doctor Theodore Denny such sums as may, on the ex-
hibition of satisfactory proof, appear to have been ille-
gally collected from them on certain shares of bank
stock, in the year eighteen hundred and forty-five.
