RESOLUTIONS.

authorised and empowered in his discretion to allow to
William Hiteshue or his order, the amount of expense
incurred in bringing from Pennsylvania, under a requi-
sition of the Governor of this State, Seavers, alias Ma-
hon, a fugitive from this State, charged with larceny.

Resolution in relation to paying the members and offi-
cers of the legislature such sums of money as may
be due them from time to time respectively.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the State, be and he is hereby author-
ised to pay to the members of this General Assembly
and the several officers thereof, or to their respective or-
ders, any sum or sums of money now due, or which
from to time may become due to them respectively, and
for which they shall obtain certificates from the chair-
man of the committee on Claims of the present House
of Delegates.

Resolution in favor of the committee appointed in pur-
suance of resolution number eight, of December ses-
sion eighteen hundred and forty.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the treasurer pay to the members of the committee ap-
pointed by the last General Assembly, in pursuance of
resolution number eight of eighteen hundred and forty,
such sum of money as will make the compensation of
each of them equivalent to the usual per diem of four
dollars for each and every day in which they have been
engaged in the discharge of their duty during the recess
of the legislature.
