An act relating to the duties of the Surveyors of the
several counties in this State and Howard District.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the surveyors of the several counties and How-
ard district in this State, shall from and after the first
day of July next, insert in every certificate of survey or
resurvey by them returned to the land office, the course
and distance of the given or closing line in every such
survey or resurvey.

An act to allow John Newcomer, former sheriff of Wash-
ington county, further time to complete his collections.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That John Newcomer, former collector of Washington
county, shall have further time to complete his collec-
tions until the first day of March eighteen hundred and
forty-nine.

A supplement to the act entitled, an act to incorporate the
Washington Coal Company, passed at December ses-
