ble manner for the benefit of the said heirs and chil-
dren of Rebecca C. Morris — Therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That James Morris, of Howard district of
Anne Arundel county, be and he is hereby appointed
trustee to sell and dispose of said property to, the best,
advantage, with power to convey the title of said chil-
dren and heirs of Rebecca. C. Morris to the purchaser or
purchasers thereof on payment of the whole purchase
money.

CHAP. 327.

Trustee ap-
pointed to sell.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said trustee be-

fore he proceeds to act as such, shall give bond in such
form and manner and with such penalty as the orphans
court of said Howard district shall direct, for the faith-
ful discharge of his duties as trustee, and shall upon re-
ceipt of the purchase money tor said, property or any
part thereof, forthwith deposit the same in the orphans
court aforesaid, to be invested in such manner for the
benefit of said children as said court may direct.

To give bond.

CHAPTER 327.

An act for the preservation of the Court House of Wash-
ington County.

Passed
Mar. 10, 1848.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
the court house of Washington county and the grounds
attached thereto, shall be under the charge and keep-
ing of the clerk of Washington county court, who shall
and is hereby invested with full powers to keep the
same in repair, to to obtain such furniture as may be neces-
sary for the convenience of the court, jurors and bar of
said court.

SEC... 2. And be it enacted, That if any person or per-
sons shall trespass on the public ground attached to said
building and deface or otherwise, injure the court house,
yard or other buildings thereto attached, the clerk is in-
vested with full power to cause the offender to be
arrested, by warrant in damages to be issued by any
justice of the peace of the said county, in the name of
Washington county, and upon conviction, had, before
such justice the offender shall be fined a sum not exceed-
ing twenty dollars nor less than three dollars, in the dis-
cretion of said justice, the said fine when covered to
be paid over to the clerk of said county court and ac-
