the third Tuesday in each and every month thereafter,
instead of the days now provided by law for the stated
meetings of said court, and all process issued from the
said court, unless otherwise directed by the court, shall
be made returnable on the third Tuesday in the months
of February, April, June, August, October and Decem-

ber; provided, that the provisions of this act shall, not
be so construed as to prevent adjourned and special meet-
ings of said court in the same manner that such meetings
are now held.

CHAPTER, 135.

Proviso.

An act to allow James Morris further time to complete
his collections.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That James Morris, late collector of the se-
cond collection district of Howard district, in Anne
Arundel county, be and he is hereby authorised and em-
powered to collect any taxes, or balances of taxes now
remaining due to and unedited by him in the district
aforesaid, in the same manner and with the same power
and privileges as are allowed by existing laws in such
cases made and provided.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the said James
Morris shall in every instance, before he shall proceed
to the aforesaid collection, make affidavit, before some
justice of the peace for Howard district, that the same
remains unpaid, and that he has not received any security
or satisfaction for the same, or any part thereof, more

than the credit allowed thereon.

continue in force longer than one year from the date of
the passage thereof.
