An act to change the name, of Richard Whiteway, of the
the city of Baltimore, to that of Richard White.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the name of Richard Whiteway, of the city of
Baltimore, be and the same is hereby changed to that
of Richard White, and it shall and may be lawful lor
the said Richard Whiteway, at all times hereafter to be
called and known by, and use the name of Richard
White, and by that name to sue and be sued in any
court of law or equity.

Time extend-
ed to collect.

An act to allow William Lyles, of Thomas, late collec-
tor of Prince George's county, further time to com-
plete his collections.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That William Lyles, of Thomas, hie collec-
tor of taxes in Prince George's county, be and he is auth-
orised and empowered to collect any and all taxes or
balances of taxes now remaining due and uncollected
by him in the county aforesaid, in the same manner and
with the same privileges and powers he could or might
have done, within the time limited bylaw.

davit to ac-
count.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said William
Lyles, of Thomas, shall in every instance, before he
proceeds to collect any taxes or balances of taxes un-
der and by virtue of this act, make affidavit before some
justice of the peace in said county, that the same re-
mains unpaid, and that he hath not received any securi-
ty or satisfaction for the same, or any part thereof,
other than the credits that may be allowed thereon.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
not continue in force longer than one year from the date
of the passage thereof.
