CHAPTER 20.

An act to allow Frederick S. Poole, administrator of
Isaac R. Poole, late collector for the third election dis-
trict of Montgomery county, further time to complete
his collections.

CHAP. 21.

Jan. 19, 1848.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Frederick S. Poole, administrator of
Isaac R. Poole, late collector of the third election dis-
trict of Montgomery county, be and he is hereby auth-
orised and empowed to collect any taxes, or balances of
taxes now remaining due to and uncollected by him
in the district aforesaid, in the same manner, and with
the same power and privileges as are allowed by the
existing laws in such cases made and provided.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Frederick
S. Poole, administrator of Isaac R. Poole shall, in
every instance, before he shall proceed to the aforesaid
collection, make affidavit before some justice of the
peace of Montgomery county, that the same remains
unpaid, and that he has not received any security or
satisfaction for the same, or any part thereof, more than
the credit allowed thereon.

SEC. 3. And be if enacted, That this act shall not
continue in force longer than the first day of January,
eighteen hundred and forty-nine.


CHAPTER 21.

In force.

An act to make valid a conveyance from Elizabeth My-
ers to Salome Seitz.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the deed or conveyance made by Elizabeth Myers,
of York county, Pennsylvania, to Salome Seitz, of
Washington county, Maryland, dated the twenty-third
day of October, eighteen hundred and forty-one, and
the same day acknowledged before the justices of the
peace of York county, Pennsylvania, be and the same
is hereby made valid and sufficient to pass the title or
interest of the said Elizabeth Myers, in and to the real
estate therein mentioned, being lot number three hundred
and fifty in the plan of the town of Hagerstown, Mary-
land, any defect in the form of said conveyance or in-
