An act for the relief of Thomas Ayres, Junior, of Har-
ford County

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Harford county, be and they
are hereby authorised and directed to levy on the as-
sessable property of said county the sum of twenty-five
dollars annually, for the maintenance and support of
Thomas Ayres, Junior, and payable to Luther M. Jar-
lett, for the use of said Ayres.

CHAPTER 163.

A further supplement to the act entitled, a further supple-
ment to the act entitled, an act for the belter regulation
of apprentices, passed at December session, eighteen
hundred and forty-two, chapter twenty-five.

Certain pow-
ers conferred
on orphans
court.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the orphans courts of the several coun-
ties of this State, be and they are hereby authorised and
empowered to exercise all the powers conferred upon
them by the act to which this is a supplement, passed
at December session eighteen hundred and forty-two,
chapter twenty-five, in all cases in which apprentices may
be bound after the passage of this act as by the said act
they were authorised to exercise in cases when the ap-
prtntire was bound before the passage of that act.

Made valid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the proceedings of the
several orphans courts, in releasing masters and appen-
tices, and re-binding apprentices, since the passage of
that act, in cases where the binding was subsequent to

that act, be and the same are as valid in, law as if such
binding had been made before the passage of the said act,
and that in all such cases, and in all cases that may
arise under this act, the same appeal shall be allowed as
is provided for by the said act, and that this act shall
take effect from its passage.
