CHAP. 155.

An act for the benefit of Saint James Parish, in Balti-
more County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

That from and alter the passage of this act, it shall an
may be lawful for the vestry of Saint James Parish
Baltimore county, to purchase and hold in fee simple to

them and their successors, a lot of land adjoining the
present parsonage lot of said parish, not exceeding five
acres of land, to have and hold the same to them and
their successors, for the use and benefit of said parish,
any law, custom or usage to the contrary notwithstand-

ing.

An act to authorise Commissioners therein appointed to
execute a deed to Thomas Nelson, of Worcester County

WHEREAS, commissioners were appointed by an act
passed eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chapter two
hundred and nineteen, section six, to sell and dispose of
the old poor house of Worcester county, and to give title
thereto upon the payment of purchase money, and
whereas, Thomas Nelson, the purchaser of said house
and the parcel of land thereto attached, has found it im-
possible to get such commissioners, or a majority of
them together, to execute such deed since the payment
of said purchase money — Therefore,

Feb. 29, 1848.

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland
That George Bishop, senior, Charles Parker and Peter
Dickerson be, and they are hereby appointed commis-
sioners, to make and execute a good and sufficient deed
of bargain and sale for the old poor house of Worcester
county, and the lot of ground or parcel of land thereto
attached and all its appurtenances to Thomas Nelson, his

heirs and assigns forever; provided, that said commis-
sioners stall be first satisfied that said Thomas Nelson
has paid the full amount of the purchase money of said
house and land thereto attached.
