CHAPTER 81.
An act authorising the Levy Court of Frederick County,
in their discretion, to levy a sum of money to build a
bridge over Little Catoctin Creek, on the road leading
from Frederick City, through Beallsville to Smithsburg,
in Washington County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the levy court of said county, are here-
by authorised to levy a sum of money not exceeding
three hundred dollars, in two equal annual instalments, for
building a bridge over Little Catoctin creek, in Frederick
county, where the public road leading from Frederick
city through Beallsville to Smithsburg, in Washington
county, crosses said creek, if in their opinion the public
interest requires it.

bond, &c.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the levy court be,
and they are hereby authorised if said levy is made, to
contract with any person or persons, to build said bridge,
and they are hereby required to give it to the lowest re-
sponsible bidder, requiring bond or bonds with sufficient
security from any contractor or contractors, for the faith-
ful performance of the contract, to be taken in the usual
form.

CHAPTER 82.

An act to incorporate the Union School in Washington
County.

Incorporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General .Assembly of
Maryland, That Daniel Reichard, Jr., John Shafer, Jr.,
Richard Watkins, Jacob Fiery, Daniel Slavonian, Hen-
ry Eyrely, John Beckley, Jacob Ridenour, Conrad Stok-
slayer and John W. Stouffer, who are or may be here-
after trustees and stockholders of the Union school,
agreeable to such rules and regulations as now are, or
may from time to time be established for the government
and management of the same, and their successors and
assigns be, and they are hereby created a corporation anil

body politic, by the name and style of the Union school,
and by that name shall have perpetual succession, and
by the name and title aforesaid, shall be able and capa-
ble in law to sue and be sued, implead and be impleaded,
