1846.

land, a free man of color, has died leaving some estate to
be distributed under his last will and testament, and ap-
pointing therein his son George Dunlop, now a resident
of the District of Columbia, his executor; and wheareas,
from the good character the family of the said Joseph
Dunlop, have borne in the county of Prince George's
aforesaid, in which most of the members thereof have
resided for so many years, a strong disposition is felt
among the citizens thereof to extend to them such privi-
lege, as will not materially interfere with the general
policy of the laws of Maryland — Therefore,

CHAP. 66.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That permission is hereby given to the said
George Dunlop, of the District of Columbia, free ingress
and egress into the said county of Prince George's, until
the full and final settlement of the estate of the said Jo-
seph Dunlop, of which as aforesaid, he has been appoint-
ed executor.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws inconsistent
with this net be, and the same are to the extent of the
privileges herein granted, hereby repealed.

Repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall go into
operation from and after the passage thereof.

CHAPTER 66.

In force.

An act for the incorporation of Pledge Division Number
Twelve, Sons of Temperance.

Passed Feb.
19, 1847.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Samuel Eichelberger, Eli Mobley,
Samuel M. King, Thomas G. Robertson, Isaac Hershey,
and others, the officers and members of Pledge Division
Number Twelve, of the Order of Sons of Temperance
attached to the Grand Division of the Order of the Sons
of Temperance of Maryland, and their successors be,
and they are hereby incorporated and made a body poli-
tic and corporate, by the name and number of Pledge
Division Number Twelve, Sons of Temperance, of the
State of Maryland, and by that name may sue and be
sued, plead and be impleaded, and have a common seal,
and the same, at their pleasure to alter, and be entitled to
use all the powers and privileges incident to such corpo-
ration.
