LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 66.

Gordon, versus the same parties, and the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, versus the Baltimore and
Ohio Rail Road Company; and whereas, the questions
involved in above cases affect the powers of taxation of
the city of Baltimore, and their speedy determination is
a matter of public interest; and whereas, the parties to
said suits are desirous that they should be settled as soon
as possible — Therefore,

Court directed
to hear cause.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Court of Appeals for the Western Shore of
this State, are hereby authorised and directed to hear
the said causes some time during the present December
term of said court.


CHAPTER 64.

Passed Feb.
16, 1847.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act for the benefit of
Sophia Ann Robinson, of Dorchester County, passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and forty-five, chap-
ter three hundred and thirty-two.

Declared the
person.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sophia Ann Robinson, of Dorchester
county was, and she is hereby declared to be the person
intended to be benefited by the act entitled, an act for
the benefit of Sophia Ann Robinson, of Dorchester
county, passed at December session, eighteen hundred
and forty-five, chapter three hundred and thirty-two.

Made valid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts done by the
said Sophia Ann Robinson, under the provisions of the
act to which this is a supplement be, and they are here-
by ratified and confirmed and made valid at law and in
equity.

CHAPTER 65.

Passed Feb.
18, 1847.

An act for the relief of George Dunlop, executor of Joseph
Dunlop, a free man of color, late of Prince George's
County, Maryland.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this Legislature that
