1846.

RESOLUTIONS.

And further resolved, That in consideration of the
authority hereby conferred upon the Governor, and the
deposits of records, documents and other papers, to be
made by him with the Historical Society in pursuance
hereof, the said Historical Society shall from time to time
hereafter transmit to the State Library to be kept in the-
same, one copy of each and every printed volume, pam-
phlet or tract which may be published by the said
Society.
Resolved, That nothing in these resolutions contained
shall be construed to apply to that collection, known as
the Ridout papers,

And resolved further, That on the delivery of any
documents or papers as aforesaid, to the said Historical
Society, the president and recording secretary of the said
society shall execute their receipt therefor, and the same
shall be filed amongst the Executive records of the State.

8, 1847.

Resolution in favor of George G. Brewer, for making
out an Index to the Public Documents.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the State, pay to George G. Brewer,
chief clerk of the present House of Delegates, the sum
of fifty dollars, for making out an index to the public
documents of the present session, as directed by resolu-
tion of December session, eighteen hundred and forty-
four.

Resolutions of John W. Whittington.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the State, is hereby authorised and em-
powered to pay John W. Whittington, or order, the sum.
of one hundred and ninety-one dollars and twelve cents,
out of any unappropriated money in the treasury, for
binding index for the State, and for other, work done for
the State.
