CHAP. 328.

CHAPTER 327.

Passed March
10, 1847.

Time allowed.

An act to authorise Edward Collinson, Collector, further
time to complete his collections,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Edward Collinson, formerly collector
of the first collection district of Anne Arundel county,
for the county taxes of eighteen hundred and forty-two,
and county and State taxes for eighteen hundred and
forty-three, be allowed until the first day of March,
eighteen hundred and forty-eight, to complete his col-
lections for the years aforesaid.

Annex affida-
vit.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That before he proceeds
to collect, under and by virtue of this act, he shall make
out and deliver to the person or persons from whom the
same may be demanded, an account of the taxes due
from such person or persons, and if required by the
party, annex thereto an affidavit, that the same is due
and unpaid.

CHAPTER 328.

To extend to
all cases of
mistake.

A supplement to the acts relating to Misnomers.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of the act passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and twenty-eight, chapter one
hundred and ninety-nine, entitled, an act relating to pleas
of misnomers, and the provisions of the act passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and forty-five,
chapter fifty-four, entitled, an act authorising amend-
ments in writs of attachment, be and they are hereby
declared to extend to all cases of mistake, in an omis-
sion of the Christian name of any defendant or defend-
ants, in any suit, attachment, writ or action, and every
such mistake or omission may be corrected, in the man-
ner prescribed in the said acts.
