CHAPTER 294.

An act for the relief of Joshua. Deputy, John S. Price
and G. Ross Veazey, securities for Edward B. Ford,
late Collector of State Taxes for Cecil County,

CHAP. 295.

8, 1847.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland.
That the time for the payment of the direct and income
tux, mid all taxes due the State for the year eighteen
hundred and forty-five, by Edward B. Ford, late collec-
tor for Cecil county, be extended to the first day of
January, eighteen hundred and forty-eight, the State re-
serving to itself all its rights and remedies against said
sureties, notwithstanding the provisions of this act; and
that no proceeding's shall be had upon the bond of the
said Edward B. Ford, late collector as aforesaid, until
after the first day of January, eighteen hundred and

forty-eight; provided however, that the said Joshua
Deputy, John B. Price and G. Ross Veazey, securities
as aforesaid, file their assent, in writing, to this bill, with
the clerk of Cecil county court on or before the fust day
of April next.

CHAPTER 295.

Proviso.

An act for the relief of Antoinette Williams, late An-
toinette McFadon, of the City of Baltimore.

WHEREAS, by a deed, in the nature of a marriage
settlement, duly executed by Antoinette McFadon and
her intended husband John Hampden Williams, of the
city of Baltimore aforesaid, beating date on the. eleventh
day of June, in the year eighteen hundred and forty-
four, certain properly which then belonged to the said
Antoinette McFadon, in her own right, was conveyed,,
in trust, to a certain Eliza Wilson, of the city of Balti-
more aforesaid, for the uses, intents and purposes therein
set forth; and whereas, the said Eliza Wilson refuses to
act as trustee as aforesaid, and there is consequently no
trustee to act in the premises; and whereas, since the
dato of the deed aforesaid, to wit, on the seventeenth
day of June, eighteen hundred and forty-four, the said
Antoinette McFadon and the said John Hampden Wil-
liams have become united in marriage, and the said An-
