CHAPTER 285.

An act entitled, a further supplement to an act entitled,
an act to regulate the Inspection of Lumber for the City
and County of Baltimore, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and forty-two, chapter two hundred
and fifty-eight.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the third, fourth and fifth sections, of the act passed
at December session, eighteen hundred and forty-two,
chapter two hundred and fifty-eight, to which this is a

supplement be, and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 286.

Repealed.

An act authorising the Orphans' Court of Caroline Coun-
ty to appoint Commissioners to lay out a Primary
School District, to be called the Boonsborough School

District.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the orphans court of Caroline county

are hereby authorised to appoint three persons as com-
missioners, whose duty it shall be forthwith to proceed
to lay out and locate a primary school district, to be
called the Boonsborough Primary School District, com-
posed of parts of election districts number one and two,
of the county aforesaid; a description of the bounds of
which shall be made out, in writing, and signed by said
commissioners, and filed with the orphans court afore-
said, which shall be sufficient evidence of said school
district.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That on the first Saturday
in August, and annually thereafter, the taxable inhabi-
tants of the aforesaid school district shall meet at Boons-
borough, in said district, at which time a majority of the
taxable inhabitants then assembled, shall elect, by ballot,
five trustees for said school, whose term of service shall
be one year and until the election of their successors, and
at whose meetings a majority shall constitute a quorum
for the transaction of business -, and said trustees shall
have full power to fill all vacancies that may occur in
