SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That all acts, or parts of
acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act be, and
the same are hereby repealed.


CHAPTER 253.

CHAP. 253.

Repealed.

A supplement to the act entitled, an act Taxing Certain
Officers, passed at December session, eighteen hundred
and forty-four, chapter three hundred and two.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the first day of May next, the seve-

ral clerks and registers named in the second section of
the act to which act this is a supplement, shall in lieu and
instead of the tax imposed on them respectively, by the
said second section, shall pay the tax hereinafter specified,
that is to say: the Clerk of the Court of Appeals of the
Western Shore, two hundred and fifty dollars; the Clerk
of the Court of Appeals of the Eastern Shore, ten
dollars; the clerk of Baltimore city court, one thousand
and fifty dollars; the clerk of Baltimore county court,
fifteen hundred dollars; the clerk of Allegany county
court, three hundred dollars; the clerk of Washingion
county court, four hundred dollars; the clerk of Frede-
rick county court, fout hundred and fifty dollars; the
clerk of Prince George's county court, three hundred
and twenty-five dollars; the clerk of Talbot county
court, one hundred and seventy-five dollars; the clerk
of Queen Anne's county court, one hundred and seventy-
five dollars; the clerk of Cecil county court, two hun-
dred and fifty dollars; the clerk of Saint Mary s county
court, two hundred dollars; the clerk of Kent county
court one hundred and seventy-five dollars; the clerk
of Caroline county court, one hundred and twenty-five
dollars; the clerk of Somerset county court, two hun-
dred and twenty-five dollars; the clerk of Worcester
county court, one hundred and twenty-five dollars the
clerk of Dorchester county court, two hundred dollars;
the clerk of Harford county court, two hundred and
fifty dollars; the clerk of Charles county court one
hred and seventy-five dollars; the clerk of Carroll
county court, one hundred and fifty dollars; the clerk of
Montgomery county court, two hundred dollars the
clerk of Aune Arundel county court, one hundred and
