CHAP. 226.

Act published.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the sheriff of Alle-
gany county be, and he is hereby directed, to have this act
published in all the newspapers printed in said county,
for three successive weeks before it shall take effect.

CHAPTER 225.

An act to change the name of Collins' Cross Roads to that
of Hubbard's Cross Roads in Caroline County.

Name changed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, the place
called and known by the name of Collins' Cross Roads, in
Caroline county, shall be known by the name of Hub-
bard's Cross Roads, any law or usage to the contrary
notwithstanding.

CHAPTER 226.

8, 1847.

An act entitled, an act to allow Jacob Alburgher, late Col-
lector of Town Taxes for eighteen hundred and forty-
five, for the town of Denton, further time to complete
his collection.

Time extend-
ed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Jacob Alburgher, late collector of the
tax in the town of Denlon, in Caroline county be, and he
is hereby allowed until the first day of June, eighteen hun-
dred and forty-eight, to complete his collection of said
tax, and that he is authorised to make said collection in
the manner prescribed by law.

Make affidavit.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Jacob
Alburgher, shall in every instance, before he may proceed
to the aforesaid collection, make affidavit before some
justice of the peace of said county, that the same remains
unpaid, and that be hath not received any security or
satisfaction for the same, or any part thereof, more than
the credits that may be allowed thereon.
