CHAPTER 186.

An act for the relief of Henry G. Wheeler.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of insolvent debtors for the city
and county of Baltimore be, and they are hereby autho-
rised and required to receive and act upon the petition of
Henry G. Wheeler, of the State of New York, that may
be made to them by him for granting to him the benefit
of the insolvent laws of Maryland; and without requiring
of said Wheeler any proof of residence or of being or
abiding in this State; and notwithstanding the fact of
his residing out of this State, or of his not having been
for the period prescribed by law in cases generally of
such petition within the State, to grant to him the bene-
fit of said insolvent laws, if in all other respects, he shall
appear entitled thereto.

CHAPTER 187.

4, 1847.

An act to authorise and require the Orphans Court of
Baltimore County to give preference to County Business
on Wednesday and Saturday in each and every Week.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
it shall be the duly of the judges of the orphans court of
Baltimore county, and they are hereby required to give pre-
ference to all county business that may come before them
for their action, on each and every Wednesday and Sa-
turday, in each and every week, any law or arrangement
of said court to the contrary notwithstanding.

Time of busi-

ness.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said orphans court
shall hold their session from ten o'clock in the forenoon,
until three o'clock in the afternoon, every Wednesday
and Saturday, in each and every week, for the transac-
tion of county business; provided, there should be no
county business on those days aforesaid, they can pro-
ceed with city business; and provided further, nothing
in this act is meant or intended to prevent said court
from acting on county business any other day in the
week.

Repealed.

SEC. 1. And be it enacted, That any act or parts of
acts conflicting with this act be, and the same are here-
by repealed.
