straightest and best ground to John Boyer's mills, in
Montgomery county, from thence on the straightest and
best ground to intersect the public road leading from the
Georgetown road, to a road leading from Clarksburg to
Damascus, at or near Basil Beall's.

CHAP. 162.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the expense of sur-
veying and opening the said road, shall be paid by the
aforesaid counties, according to the expense incurred in
each county, and the levy court of Frederick county, and
the commissioners for Montgomery county, are hereby
authorised to levy on the assessable property of said
counties, the sum necessary to defray the expense of
surveying and opening the said road in each county, to
be collected as other county charges are, and the said
road when so opened, shall be kept in repair as other
public roads are.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said commission-
ers, or a majority of them, shall value and ascertain the
damages that may be sustained by any person or persons
through whose land the said road may pass, taking into
consideration the advantages and disadvantages, if any,
and the said damages to be levied, assessed, collected
and paid over by the proper authorities of said counties
to those who may be entitled to the same.

Commissioners of Baltimore County.

27, 1847.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That no person shall be eligible to the office
of commissioner of Baltimore county, who has already
been, or may hereafter be elected for two successive
terms, until he shall have been out of office for at least
two years.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That no commissioner
shall be appointed to any office in the gift of the board
of commissioners of Baltimore county, during the term
for which he has been elected to office.

to give security, shall present the same at the regular
meeting of the said board, to be approved or rejected,
