county, at their next annual levy for the county, an amount
of money, not however exceeding two hundred dollars,
to carry into effect the provisions of this act.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act for the relief of
Samuel P. Smith and Reuben Worthington, of Alle-
gany County, passed at December session, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-three, chapter thirty-two

May collect.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, it shall and
may be lawful for Margaret A. McKinley, of Allegany
county, to collect from Samuel P. Smith and Reuben
Worthington, in quarterly instalments, the amount of an-
nuity allowed her, from time to time, under the provi-
sions of the act to which this is a supplement

CHAPTER 138.

An act to incorporate the Roxbury Manufacturing Com-
pany.

Incorporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Allen Bowie Davis, William L. Gaither,
John Glenn, Remus Riggs, and their associates, succes-
sors and assigns be, and they are hereby created a cor-
poration and body politic, by the name and title of the
Roxbury Manufacturing Company, and by that name may
have perpetual succession, and shall be able and capable
in law, to sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, an-
swer and be answered in any court of law or equity, and
make and use a common seal, and to ordain and establish
such by-laws and regulations, and alter or amend the same,
as shall be necessary or convenient for conducting the
affairs of the corporation not repugnant to law.

Objects of
corporation.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the objects of the
said corporation are declared to be the making, and ma-
nufacturing, and trading in flour, cotton, wool and other
articles, for which purpose they are hereby authorised to
purchase, hold, and dispose of mixed property or
