CHAPTER 9.

An act supplemental to an act entitled, an act to extend to
Baltimore County the provisions of an act relating to the
liens of Mechanics and others on buildings, passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and forty four,
chapter two hundred and twenty-six.

CHAP. 10.

Passed Jan.
20, 1846.

WHEREAS, considerable doubt exists as regards the
rights of persons not having claims to the amount of fifty
dollars, for work done, or materials furnished for, or
about the construction of any buildings in the county of
Baltimore, to file and record their claims of lien, under
the provisions of the act of the General Assembly, en-
acted originally for the benefit of the city of Baltimore,
at December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-eight,
chapter two hundred and five, entitled, an act relating
to the liens of mechanics and others, on buildings;
and whereas, said original act was extended to Baltimore
county, by an act passed at December session, eighteen
hundred and forty-four, chapter two hundred and twenty-
six; therefore,

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That any person or persons who have, or may hereafter
have claims for work done, or materials furnished for, or
about the erection or construction of any building in
Baltimore county, which have heretofore been, or may
hereafter be filed and recorded under the provisions of
the original act aforesaid, and to which this act is a sup-
plement, such person or persons are hereby declared to
be entitled to all the benefits and advantages given by
the said original act of Assembly, without regard to the

amount of their respective claims; provided, all other
requisitions of the original act be complied with.

CHAPTER 10.

Proviso.

An act to incorporate the Trustees of Plumb Point Acade-
my in Calvert County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Richard Hance, Benjamin S. Ireland
James G. Allnutt, Richard Roberts, Alexander Barker
George R. Crawford, and William T. Wilson, and their
