Resolution instituting William B. Bond, Esq., Deputy
Attorney General of Harford County, to adjust and
settle the claims of the State against Bennet Gilbert,
administrator of Preston McComas, deceased.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
William B. Bond, Esq., the deputy of the attorney gen-
eral for Harford county, be and he is hereby authorised
to settle and adjust the claim of the State against Bennet
Gilbert, administrator of Preston McComas, deceased,
late sheriff of said county, and that the said administrator
be allowed in such settlement, for all claims for fines and
forfeitures, or any other account against insolvent person
or persons, from whom the said late sheriff failed to col-
lect the money, by reason of the inability of the parties
to pay.

Resolution in favor of Margaret Martin.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of this State be, and he is hereby author-
ised and required to pay to Margaret Martin, of West-
moreland county, Pennsylvania, widow of Jacob Martin,
a revolutionary soldier with the Maryland troops, or to
her order during her life, in quarter yearly payments, a
sum of money equal to the half pay of a private, in con-
sideration of services rendered by her husband during the
war of the Revolution.
