Resolution in favor of Bethula Harper.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the State, pay Bethula Harper, of Dor-
chester county, widow of the late William Harper, who
was a private in the Revolution, or to her order during
her life, in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to
the half pay of a private, in considerations of the servi-
ces of her husband.

Resolution in favor of William S. Green, and his Se-
curities.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
on the trial of the suits now depending in Anne Arundel
county court, on writs of scire facias issued in the name
of the State of Maryland, against William S. Green, Ro-
bert Welch of Ben. and Samuel Brown, on judgments
heretofore recovered by the State against the said de-
fendants, it shall and may lawful to and for said defend-
ants, or any of them to plead, and insist on all such
matters and defences, save and except the plea of limi-
tation, which they might have pleaded or insisted on in
bar of the original actions, or in mitigation of damages
in which such judgments were recovered, and which
show that the State has no such legal claims as were re-
covered by the said judgments; provided, said defences
shall not apply to any defect in the form of proceedings
in said causes, and that the same shall be tried at the
first term of said court next ensuing the passage of this
resolution.
