RESOLUTIONS. 1845.

Hugh Burkhead, James Sykes, John Spear Nicholas,
William Cook, Isaac Munroe, Elias T. Griffin and Ben-
jamin Deford be, and they are hereby appointed directors
on the part of this State, in the Baltimore and Ohio Kail
Road Company.
Resolved, That Robert Magraw, John S. Smith, John
Philpot, Henry Pike and Sheppard C. Leakin be, and
they are hereby appointed directors on the part of this
State, in the Baltimore and Susquehanna Rail Road
Company.

Resolved, That the President of the Senate and the
Speaker of the House address a joint letter, to each of
the above named gentlemen, informing them respectively
of their appointment.

No. 17.

Resolution in favor of the Register of Wills of Harford
County.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the orphans' court of Harford county is hereby authorised
to pay the Register of Wills of said county, out of any
money now or hereafter to be under the control of said
court, belonging to the free school fund of said county,
such sum as they may deem reasonable, not exceeding
twenty-five dollars, for services rendered by said Regis-
ter during the past year relating to said school fund; and
that the said orphans' court have like authority to pay
said Register, or any future register, out of said school
fund annually, such sum as they shall deem reasonable
not exceeding the above sura of twenty-five dollars, for
like services to be hereafter performed.
