missioned, appointed by virtue of this act, are hereby
authorised and empowered to change the location of said
road to answer the building of said bridge across said
creek.

CHAP. 39.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
appointed to contract lor the building of said bridge shall
be entitled to receive two dollars per day for each day
they may be engaged as commissioners, not exceeding
five days, which money shall be levied and paid as other
county charges are; and it shall be the duty of said com-
missioners to take bond, with sufficient security to the
State, from any contractor or contractors, for the faithful
performance of building said bridge, which bond shall be
filed in the office of commissioners of tax for said county,

An act to allow Isaac Scaggs, late Collector of Prince
George's county, further time to complete his collec-
tions.

Passed Jan.
24, 1846.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Isaac Scaggs, late collector of taxes in
Prince George's county, be, and he is hereby authorised
and empowered to collect any and all taxes or balances
of taxes now remaining due and uncollected by him in
the county aforesaid, in the same manner and with the
same privileges and powers he could or might have done
within the time limited by law.

Time allowed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Isaac Scaggs
shall, in every instance before he proceeds to collect un-
der and by virtue of this act, make affidavit before some
justice of the peace in said county, that the same remains
unpaid, and that he hath not received any security or
satisfaction for the same, or any part thereof, more than
the credits that may be allowed thereon.

Make oath.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall not con-
tinue in force longer than one year from the date of the
passage thereof.
