CHAPTER 234.
An act to allow Robert W. Carter, trustee of Thomas F.
W. Vinson, deceased; late Sheriff and Collector of
Montgomery County, further time to complete his col-
lections.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Robert W. Carter, trustee of Thomas F. W. Vin-
son, deceased, late sheriff and collector of Montgomery
county, or any trustee who may be appointed hereafter,
shall be allowed further time until the first day of De-
cember, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, to collect all
taxes for the year eighteen hundred and forty-one, and
all fees for the year eighteen hundred and forty-two, due
to the said Thomas F. W. Vinson, in the same manner
in which the said Thomas F. W. Vinson was authorised

to do whilst he was in office; provided, that this act
shall not extend to any person or persons, his, her or
their representatives, against whom any such taxes or

An act to allow Lemuel Clements, trustee of Henry Lilly,
deceased, late Sheriff and Collector of Montgomery
County, further time to complete his collections.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, Lemuel Cle-
ments, trustee of Henry Lilly, deceased, late sheriff and
collector of Montgomery county, or any subsequent trus-
tee that may he appointed, be and be is hereby empow-
ered to collect all fees, taxes and levies in the same
manner in which the said Henry Lilly was authorised to

do whilst he was in office; provided, that if any person
or persons, or his, her or their representatives, against
whom any such fees, taxes or levies may have been ren-
dered, will make oath or a affirmation before a justice of
the peace that the same has been satisfied or paid, that

that the powers conferred by this act, shall not continue
in force longer than the first day of April, eighteen hun-
dred and forty.
